Are you guys ready for the most taboo topic of all? Today, we’re getting up-close, crazy-personal, and wildly clear about our pricing. If you’re curious about what custom website copywriting costs, or you’ve reached out to inquire about my services but aren’t positive you’re ready to invest yet, this is a perfect piece to read to gather insight and information about what that investment will look like. Let’s get to it.
We currently offer two main packages:
Both of the above cover web pages up to 500 words (the ideal length). Web pages over 500 words incur an additional charge. These packages include copywriting, SEO, and content-strategy fees all worked into one nice even number so you know exactly what to expect.
There are two aspects of custom website copywriting wrapped into our package rates. The first is the actual copywriting piece—those are all of the hard-working words you’ll receive to put on your website. This copywriting portion of the fee includes in-depth review of your client questionnaire, performing market and competitor research, developing your distinct voice, and writing all of the heavy-lifting headlines, subheads, body-copy content blocks, and clever calls-to-action that convince your reader they love your personality, see your value, and would be crazy to not hire you. This is charged as $1,150 per page.
The second is the content strategy piece. This is charged based on the amount of pages in your scope. This includes all of the time Tayler, our crazy-talented content strategist, takes to develop a sound outline for each web page based on your distinct goals and what we think will work best to capture—then qualify—leads and drive them seamlessly through the sales funnel that is your site. This is charged as $350 per page.
This also includes time spent developing your SEO plan. Tayler will research and narrow down the top SEO keywords for me to incorporate into your website as I’m writing to help you capture organic search traffic. Tayler’s marketing mind is one of the sharpest I’ve ever come across. She’s spent years helping wedding pros and female entrepreneurs develop strategies to propel their brand forward—and I can confidently say she is the best in the business. Having her eyes and insight on your project is worth its weight in gold—but, luckily, we’re not charging the price of gold.
This portion of the fee is absolutely required—it’s worked into each of our packages automatically, and we don’t book any website copywriting projects without it. Copywriting without content strategy is sort of like a sandwich without bread (and carbs, as I like to say on way too many occasions as an Italian, are lifeblood). Content strategy and SEO are a massive piece of the puzzle—it’s where we spend hours building the strong foundation for the words I write to thrive. Without strategy, you’re simply getting writing, not copywriting (and you’re way too smart to build your business out of a house of cards).
Another great question! But, remember, you’re not paying for words on your website, you’re paying for the sales from those words. Hiring an experienced copywriter and content strategist is an investment in your business, plain and simple. Our clients have had incredible conversions, increased newsletter sign ups, and immediate sales come as a result of our copy (just check our testimonials for wedding copywriting and for creative copywriting; you’ll see what I mean). You can also find statistics regarding the confidence and conversions my custom copywriting has brought previous clients on my copywriting services page—scroll down and peep those percentages, people!
Strategic words on your website work in a number of ways:

As much as we love good conversation, we certainly don’t want to waste your precious time, which is why we ask that you only book your discovery call if you feel confident and ready to invest in custom website copywriting. During our busier seasons, we have a waitlist going to ensure we can meet with everyone who wants to use our services; securing a spot on that waitlist when you aren’t ready to invest only serves to take that spot from another small business owner who is ready to invest.
While we absolutely want to support you and your brand’s growth, we do not offer website copywriting discounts, and we do not alter our prices based on your budget. Regardless of how great of a negotiator you might be, I can promise you as a child who grew up with four other siblings and only one bathroom: you won’t be able to talk us down on pricing (desperately fighting for sink-time every morning really teaches a girl how to stand her ground).
